Maria Bartiromo, a longtime Fox News and Fox Business anchor, has abruptly parted ways with the network.<\/p>\n

\u201cEffective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,\u201d the network said in a statement Thursday. \u201cWe thank Maria for her work over the last 12\u00bd years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.\u201d [Wow, talk about terse!]<\/span><\/p>\n

The statement did not give a reason for her leaving the network, but a person familiar with the details, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters, said \u201cBartiromo\u2019s departure was Fox\u2019s decision.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The dismissal came after Ms. Bartiromo shared internal Fox Business communications with the White House, a person familiar with the details confirmed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In news first reported by Puck\u2019s Dylan Byers and confirmed by two sources close to the situation, Fox, on Thursday fired Patrick Ignozzi \u2014 the executive producer of Mornings with Maria on Fox Business.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u2026 and, for the cherry on top, Mediaite<\/em> has a little scoop of their own!<\/a><\/div>\n

Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo\u2019s own staffers were barred from talking to her in the weeks before her ouster was announced, Mediaite has learned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to a source familiar with the matter, sharing the memo about Trump\u2019s July comments was \u201cnot the only reason\u201d that led to her abrupt defenestration.<\/p>\n

The source confirmed that it was \u201ca confluence of factors,\u201d including Fox\u2019s whopping $787.5 million settlement it had to pay to Dominion Voting Systems in 2023<\/strong> over 2020 election fraud claims Fox had aired, plus another similar lawsuit from Smartmatic \u201cstill hanging out there.\u201d<\/strong> Bartiromo was among the main on-air personalities cited in these lawsuits and has continued to periodically peddle in election denialism. A Fox News media spokesperson told Mediaite that the move was simply a \u201cbusiness decision.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
