In the wake of the murder of Alex Pretti, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is facing increased and intensifying pressure from Congress – including (brace yourself) top GOP members. Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) said “She’s proven that she doesn’t know how to lead.” And he’s not alone among Republicans in calling for Noem to resign<\/a>. HuffPo<\/em>: “Top House Democrats said if Noem doesn’t go, they’ll start building the case for her eventual impeachment, though they’d need Republican support.<\/a>” Well, it seems House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries has already mapped out a path to Noem’s impeachment, and Raw Story<\/em> has the details and the video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Noem certainly didn’t help herself by trying to throw her bosses under the bus<\/a>: “is chalking up her actions in office to the direction of President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller.” Alternet<\/em> reports another issue hobbling Noem<\/a>: “Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is holding up more than $1 billion in ‘hazard mitigation funds.'”<\/p>\n

The knives are also out for Trump’s top advisor, Stephen Miller: “Miller, the architect of Donald Trump\u2019s hardline immigration policy, finds himself in the rare position of being contradicted and excluded from crucial decisions by the US president.” More at Guardian<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
